Nice to meet you!
My name is Livi Pratt, and singing is my lifelong passion. As a Cleveland native raised by music buffs (no, seriously—my parents met in a choir), I was exposed to the rich culture of classical, jazz, and theater that my hometown has to offer, as well as many other genres.
My experience includes singing with the Cleveland Orchestra family of choruses and receiving formal instruction from Phyllis Speirs of the Fine Arts Association in Willoughby, Ohio and Elizabeth Unis Chesko at Cleveland State University. I sang roles in productions such as Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera, Mademoiselle Silberklang in Der Schauspieldirektor (The Impresario), and as a chorister in multiple performances of Carmina Burana. I also performed individual scenes and arias in showcases and attended seminars on vocal health to study the anatomy of the voice and how to take great care of it. In addition to private lessons, I have led music classes as a student teacher and directed a summer children’s choir.
My focus in teaching is to encourage a healthy approach to singing and speaking, as well as to help students discover new pieces that expand their repertoire and build confidence by trying new things.
I’m excited to get started on this musical journey with you!
